Stubborn Snow

Stubborn Snow Statement

Snow in photography is often a beautiful void. The white space of fresh snow transforms landscapes into magical views.

Yet, this beauty tends to be short lived. More often bits of snow stubbornly hang on in drab, wintery landscapes. This snow is no more white and fluffy, but grey and unappealing; no more magical but mundane.

This photography project is informed by photography theory and philosophy, particularly phenomenology.
